The IRSV conducts a range of activities focusing upon advocacy and dispute resolution - the biennial IRSV/AIRC Advocacy training course, regular discussion group meetings on workplace dispute resolution issues, and occasional seminars. The AIRC ADVOCACY Training Program The AIRC Advocacy Training Program is a skill-based program directed at advocates appearing before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. Whilst the program will be of particular benefit to students and new advocates, it will also be of interest to those more experienced advocates wishing to review their practical skills and knowledge of advocacy. The program is conducted by a range of experienced advocates and members of the AIRC who will provide instruction, commentary and feedback to course participants. The IRSV will be running the next advocacy course on advocacy in the Commission in late August early September (the dates yet to be finalised). As in previous years the course will consist of: - 2 weeknight forum sessions;
- 2 weekend practical advocacy "Moot Court" sessions; and
- a weeknight "wrap up" session held at the Commission.
Details of dates, venue and cost will be available shortly. |
