The Society is an organisation committed to fostering discussion, research and education in the field of industrial relations. Its substantial membership is drawn primarily from five main area: trade unions, employers, government, academic institutions and the legal profession. Any person who has, or would like to develop an interest in the field of industrial relations may apply for membership. There are four categories of membership: Member, Student Member, Retired Member and Life Member. Note: A $30.25 joining fee applies to new members. Established in 1963, the Society continues to play an active role in bringing together members of the industrial relations community of Victoria. A variety of functions are arranged to attract the interest of members. The Executive Committee, which is elected annually, comprises representatives from each of the five main spheres of influence mentioned above. The Society is a constituent society of the Industrial Relations Society of Australia with kindred societies in all States and Territories. |
