This year the Convention will celebrate 40 years of the IndustrialRelations Society of Victoria. The Society was established in 1963. Its objects today, as they were in 1963, are to organise and foster discussion, research, education and publication within the field of industrial relations. The last 40 years have seen some dramatic changes within the industrial relations field. This year's convention will celebrate, commiserate and remember some of the milestones of the last 40 years. The speakers will also look forward – and will discuss the links which the historical issues and disputes have with current issues in the industrial relations arena.
