Welcome to the IRSV

The Industrial Relations Society of Victoria is an organisation committed to fostering discussion, research and education in the field of industrial relations.  Click here to download the IRSV rules.

The Society holds a number of functions throughout the year.  For further information about the Society's functions click here.

The Society's substantial membership is drawn primarily from five main areas: trade unions, employers, government, academic institutions and the legal profession. Any person who has, or would like to develop an interest in the field of industrial relations may apply for membership. To that end, a special subscription rate applies for full-time students and retired members.

Established in 1963, the Society continues to play an active role in bringing together members of the industrial relations community of Victoria. A variety of functions are arranged to attract the interest of members.

The Executive Committe, which is elected annually, comprises representatives from each of the five main spheres of influence mentioned above. The Society is a constituent society of the Industrial Relations Society of Australia with kindred societies in all States and Territories.

The Industrial Relations Society of Victoria is looking for enthusiastic and motivated university students to get involved in assisting with the running of student focused IR events such as a Careers Nights and debates on topical Industrial Relations issues. If you are, or know someone who may be, interested in participating in this way, please contact the IRSV by email at irsv@alphalink.com.au or by telephone on (03) 9614 7545.
